Introduction:
This one-year full time course is designed to provide students with a broad range of skills and knowledge in Travel agency competence and tour guiding skills. It also includes Tourism Awareness and Reception. It is envisaged that students would be prepared for direct entry to the workplace or for further study.

Entry Requirements:
Applicants should have the Leaving Certificate or the equivalent; this course is also open to mature students. Suitable candidates who show aptitude for the course will be selected by interview.
Career Opportunities:
Many opportunities exist in this growing industry – both full time and part time positions. Students may also use the points gained on this course for entry into further education at an Institute of Technology.
Work Experience:
One day per week will be spent on work experience. This will introduce and prepare students for employment in their areas and enable them to link with local industry.

Fees of €150 apply on registration.
Certification:
Students who complete the course successfully qualify for:
- A FETAC (Level 5) Certificate
- A College Certificate
