Introduction:

This is year one of a full time assessment based diploma course in Beauty Therapy and Business. This course is designed to provide school leavers and older adults with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to work in this rapidly expanding area of employment.

The prospective Beauty Therapy and Business Therapist will learn the techniques, skills, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success as a Beauty Therapist in Business. Quality Assurance and student assessments are monitored by VTCT (UK).

    Entry Requirements:

    Successful applicants should have a pleasant personality, manual dexterity, good communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team. (A study of human biology is beneficial)

    Career Opportunities:

    Completion of this course should lead to opportunities in a wide range of settings: Employment in a Beauty Salon or Hotel Spa / Openings in retail outlets with cosmetics / Self-employment in Beauty Therapy industry/ Beauty and Massage Therapy on board a cruise liner.

    Work Experience:

    Work experience as a Beauty Therapist in a salon setting within the college will form part of the course.

    Students who complete the course successfully qualify for:
